Waiting in Expectation

How many times have you heard someone telling you NOT to expect too much? I am challenging that today and saying you most certainly should have expectations, high expectations. Most of us settle because we lower our expectations before we even get started. Society tells us that it is negative to want too much. So I would challenge that and say well what is enough? What is the exact amount that you should want? I think that you should reach for the stars and if you bump your head on the moon in the process, you still did well. I am not sure which is higher! Lol! You deserve more because we serve a God that has created it all. If everything here on this earth was made for us then why shouldn’t we benefit from it? Why should we defeat ourselves before we even start. Why should we accept anything less than greatness? Expect more because you are worth it. Even the least of us are worth it. If we went after a job and saw that we didn’t meet all of the qualifications, but we met most of the qualifications a lot of us would walk away. Have you ever thought that maybe it was designed that way? Designed to eliminate the doubters and go for the person with the most confidence, who says I can do it even if I’ve never done it? I would challenge you to go after the big stuff. Don’t settle for anything underneath what you feel you can do or what you deserve. You may get some nos, but it is the one yes that counts. It is knowing that you could do it or even that you were considered to do it. But don’t let anybody box you into anything. Keep your expectations for yourself high. When your expectations for yourself are high, your expectations for others are high, too. I am not saying act like you’re better than someone or act like certain opportunities are beneath you, but I am saying recognize your worth and walk in it, not blindly but with EXPECTATION!
Why should we accept anything less than greatness?
